Jim "Customer" (see trivia) is a customer who goes to The Joke Shop looking to purchase a gift, but instead ends up helping Miranda come up with an excuse to get out of Penny's party.

BiographyEdit

Series 1Edit

Excuse

In Excuse Customer is forced to stay by Miranda and Stevie and to help think up an excuse Miranda can use to get out of attending her mother's party. He attends the party.

Series 3Edit

Three Little Words

In Three Little Words, Customer is forced to stay and hang with Miranda and Stevie and to help think up a way for Miranda to tell Mike she loves him. He's the one who tells Miranda that she doesn't love mike. Miranda, Stevie and him also set up a Take That tribute band and he also earns the status of Miranda's new best friend.

The Final Curtain

In The Final Curtain, Customer comes into the shop to find a wedding gift for his to-be husband: a heart shaped picture frame. Customer tries to avoid getting roped into anything, but eventually ends up helping Miranda seem less attractive and attends Miranda's therapy session. At the end of the episode, Miranda arrives at Customer's wedding, thinking it is Gary that is getting married, before Customer revealed it was his wedding and he was marrying Clive.

TriviaEdit

  • In IMDb, it states that Dominic Coleman portrays a character named "Jim" in Miranda, meaning the customers real name is "Jim" or James.
  • In Season 3, the Customer wears a blue coat and tie.
  • In Excuse, although he's just a reoccurring character and knows nobody at the party, when Miranda comes out straight (after revealing she's a lesbian), he is seen exchanging money with other party guests as bet money.
  • He's more against helping Miranda in his later appearances.
