Quote2

Tamara was seen in Series 2 as a new waitress at the restaurant, appearing after Gary returned from his travels in Hong Kong.

A New Low
When Tamara first appeared in the restaurant, she was a fresh face and both Miranda and Stevie competed to become her new best friend, driving themselves to join her at art classes, early morning swims, rolls down the hill, and all night makeovers, before conceding they found her to be too exhausting for them.

Meanwhile, just as Gary and Miranda decide to see if there could be something between them, and book a spa hotel together, Clive accidentally reveals that Tamara was not just an employee, but was technically Gary's wife. Gary tried to explain to a stunned Miranda that to allow her to enter the UK to study she needed a green card, and since he owed her a huge favor, he married her so she could get one. He also lets slip that he and Tamara had had a brief affair while he'd been in Hong Kong, but it had just been a fling and that it didn't mean anything.

After being fired by Clive, and being the source of trouble between Miranda and Gary, Tamara left town to avoid it from becoming awkward.

As a goodbye present she left her painting of a nude Miranda. Gary was seen to appreciate the "naked sweep" of it.
